Seven Hills Skydivers Halloween Party

Here are some rules/guidelines for the party. I felt I could write these up, since I am supplying the prizes 
Any input from you will be appreciated, otherwise….
Rules/Guidelines for 7-Hills Skydivers Halloweenie Party: Sat.Nov. 3rd
*COSTUMES ARE REQUIRED* (birthday suits are not allowed–unless you are female)
—If you don’t wear a legitimate costume (not: “I’m a skydiver” costume), once the party starts (after jumping), you will pay the pig $2.00 at the party.
—-Secret ballots will determine 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place for best costumes. Secret ballot will determine worst costume “penalty” (discounting those who paid the pig)
—-The drunken obstacle course, held much later in the evening, will have 1st, 2nd, 3rd place prizes according to best times finished w/o cheating. Worst time to finish determines worst time “penalty”.
—–1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes will be the same for costume & obstacle course, as follows:
1st place: Seven Hills full-altitude jump ticket.(supplied by me, not the club)
2nd place: 6 pack of beer (what I supply), soda for non-drinkers (what I supply)
3rd place: small goodie bag (what I put in it)
—-Worst costume & worst obstacle course time penalties are: Must do 2 shots of Early Times & death by silly string outside..at LEAST four cans emptied on you. If we know you don’t drink, shots aren’t required.

Howdy all!
Yeah, it’s Porter again. Just wanted to thank everyone that showed up for the 3rd annual Halloweenie party. Especially everyone in costume!! We had over 50 people there throughout the day and I think it might have been pushing 60. I think everyone left with a smile on their face even if they were hung over. 11 loads Saturday plus 2 balloon loads. I think more will be planned for the balloon in the future. I know there are already things in the works. Yes Razz I’m in.
So, back to the party. Again thanks to all who brought food, who jumped the balloon, who helped w/ the balloon, who showed in costume at sometime, who jumped in the cold, and who just showed up, even those who puked (you know who you are). I had a blast as I think did everyone else. We are again showing the spirit of Seven Hills and what things should really be happening at our drop zone. Our family keeps getting bigger w/ every event and next year will be no different. I’m glad everyone seemed to have fun and proud of how we always seem to pull things like this off. Good job all!!!!!!!!!
Remember that we will be trying to jump all winter if possible and there will be more to come on this in the future, so keep an eye out. We also have lots of people that will just want to keep in touch so let’s make sure all that happens as well.
Next event will probably be the Annual X-mas or Winter party. When should we do that? I hear some will be gone at the end of January and Oscar + Veronica will be gone around X-mas. Should we have this years party a little early? Let me know kiddies! This e-mail contact thing really seems to be working well so we are going to keep it up into this next year. So let me know on the party and let’s make this another good one!

Last year we had the party on January 6th. The year before it was January 21. Year before that it was Jan 22. Year before that one still it was on the 17th. So you can see that it bounces around. And it avoids Christmas very nicely by having it in January. I think we should keep it in January to get the most people there. As always, we should do a survey to see when weekend in January works best for the most members. considering which days the restaurant is available as well. So reply to say which weekends will NOT work for you….. Jan 5, Jan 12, Jan 19, or Jan 26.
